Recently, countries around the world have incorporated AI technology into their national strategies, and Taiwan has actively built its own AI arsenal, becoming the focus of attention from all countries. However, this “sovereign AI” plan also faces two major shortcomings that need to be overcome.
Although Taiwan has certain advantages in the field of science and technology, it still needs to overcome technical bottlenecks in order to establish a complete AI ecosystem. For example, talent training and R&D investment still need to be strengthened to ensure the long-term development of the AI arsenal.
As competition in global AI technology becomes increasingly fierce, if Taiwan wants to gain a foothold in this field, it must face competitive pressure from various countries. Only by continuously improving its R&D capabilities and innovation capabilities can we stand out on the international stage.
In addition to technological and competitive pressures, Taiwan also needs to establish a complete industrial ecosystem to truly achieve the goal of an AI arsenal. This includes the support of government policies and the strengthening of industrial cooperation, which can provide a strong guarantee for the development of AI technology.
Despite all the difficulties and challenges it faces, Taiwan’s “sovereign AI” plan is still full of hope. As long as all parties work together to overcome difficulties, I believe Taiwan’s AI arsenal will surely become a bright spot in global attention.
