Today (March 23) is the day when the "Maintenance of National Security Ordinance" is gazetted and takes effect. Chief Executive Li Jiachao attended a New Year's greetings in Guangzhou and Hong Kong. The government will step up support for businesses and innovation

In order to promote economic development, the SAR government will strengthen support for enterprises and innovation. Li Jiachao said that the government will provide more resources and policy support to encourage enterprises to innovate and promote industrial upgrading.

Strengthen cooperation with the mainland and expand market space

Li Jiachao emphasized that as a bridge between the mainland and the world, Hong Kong will continue to strengthen cooperation with the mainland and expand market space.
