According to the WeChat official account of the People's Bank of China on the 20th, the first meeting of the China-EU Financial Working Group was held in Beijing from March 18 to 19. The meeting discussed market access and other issues, aiming to strengthen China-EU financial cooperation and promote the stable development of both sides' financial systems.
At the meeting, the financial management departments of China and Europe introduced the macroeconomic conditions of their respective countries and had in-depth exchanges on financial market access, regulatory cooperation and other issues. Both sides agreed that strengthening cooperation is an important way to achieve common development.
During the meeting, participants emphasized the importance of market access in promoting the development of the financial industry. China and the EU will continue to have dialogue on issues such as market opening and investment protection, and jointly promote the healthy development of financial markets.
The meeting also had an in-depth discussion on regulatory cooperation. The two sides will strengthen cooperation in information exchange, risk prevention and other aspects to jointly respond to the challenges of the financial market.
