    Cai Ruolian calls on students to safeguard national security

    Education Director Cai Ruolian recently visited Beijing and attended the opening ceremony of the National Security Education Delegation hosted by the SAR government. During the event, she led a delegation to visit officials from the Central Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office and was received by Deputy Director Nong Rong. Cai Ruolian said that the purpose of this visiting delegation is to enhance students' understanding of national security and hopes that they can consciously safeguard national security.

    Cai Ruolian pointed out that national security is an important issue that every citizen should be concerned about, especially for teenagers. She emphasized the importance of education and hoped to improve students' security awareness through education and let them understand that protecting national security is everyone's responsibility.

    During the visit, Cai Ruolian had in-depth exchanges with officials from the Central Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office and understood the importance and complexity of national security work. She said that this visit will open a window for students to have a more comprehensive understanding of the meaning and value of national security.

    Cai Ruolian emphasized that the Education Bureau will continue to be committed to promoting national security education, strengthening schools’ emphasis on national security education, and improving students’ safety awareness and self-protection capabilities. She called on the whole society to work together to protect national security and build a better future.
